Welcome to Signal Hill...
Signal Hill & Seinna Hillis are communities in the SW quadrant of Calgary. It is bounded by Sarcee Trail to the east, 17th Ave to the north, Glenmore Trail to the south and 69th Street to the west.
Battalion Park, on the southern slopes of the hill overlooks the major Westhills and Signal Hill shopping centres. The large numbers formed by rocks on the slope are the unit numbers of the battalions that trained at the bottom of the hill during the World War I. Although not in the original location, they are the same rocks, maintained by local military cadets. Other popular adjacent Westside communities include Signature Parke to the north, Springbank Hill to the west and Richmond Hill to the south.
